Female Scholarship Scheme

This project aims at giving girls opportunities to attain the highest level of educational pursuits in their lives without financial constraints.

The scheme provides scholarships to girls in secondary school who must meet the criteria of having above average intelligence in academic performance and come from poor family backgrounds. The scholarship is responsible for all academic expenses which includes school fees, uniforms, books and other academic requirements.

Criteria:

  1.  1) Above average academic performance.
  2.  2) Inability of parents or care takers to pay for school fees.
  3.  3) Written consent by parents to allow a girl finish secondary school.
  4.  4) A commitment to assisting at least five other younger children in their academic pursuits within their communities.
  5.  5) Consent to participate in annual 'Beneficiaries Mentoring Retreat' where all the beneficiaries are brought together for a weekend with female role models.
